Noel Keating
Noel Keating lives in Carlow, Ireland. He is now retired having spent 40 years in the education sector in Ireland. In the years following his retirement he was awarded a doctorate for his research into the child’s experience of meditation and its fruits. His paper Children’s Spirituality and the Practice of Meditation in Irish Primary Schools was published in the International Journal for Children’s Spirituality in December 2016.
Through his YouTube channel Noel produces free video resources to help teachers and parents introduce meditation to children and for teens and adult beginners also. His book Meditation with Children: A Resource for Teachers and Parents was published by VERITAS (Dublin) in 2017. He developed a CD, Meditation with Children: Songs and Reflections, with Canadian singer Alana Levandoski as an additional resource. Noel has helped introduced meditation as a whole-school practice to over 250 primary schools in Ireland and over 50,000 children have learned to meditate as a result. He is now leading similar initiatives in the Catholic Dioceses of Kildare & Leighlin and Cork & Ross.
